Buying a boat?

So you are ready to buy a boat, but there are a couple of questions you need answered first.

  1. Do you buy a new or used boat?
  2. How many engines, brand, HP?
  3. How does insurance vary per type of boat?
  4. What style of boat do you want? (Diving-Fishing-Cruising)
  5. Are kids a consideration?
  6. Will you be out on rough water or mostly flat?
  7. Do you plan on going to the islands and if so will you stay on the boat or at a local hotel?
  8. Should you have a toilet on board?

The first question on the list “Do you buy a new or used boat?” seems to be the most popular. It is also the core to the rest of the questions. How many engines, brand, HP will be in next weeks follow up post.
