Saltwater Brewery, home of the edible six-pack rings

Saltwater Brewery, home of the edible six-pack rings. Sarah O’Kelly visits the Delray Beach beer maker that hit the headlines for developing a solution to the problem of six-pack rings damaging the environment and endangering wildlife. Their six-pack rings, or yokes, are made from the by-products of the brewing process. Not only are they harmless to the environment, they are edible and will gradually disintegrate in water, freeing any creatures trapped within them. Of course, Sarah took the opportunity to test a few beers too. Quite a few, in fact. Stand by for delicious craft brews with hints of chocolate and coffee. Some people get all the good gigs, right?
A huge thank you to Saltwater Brewery President and co-founder Chris Grove and brewmaster Dustin Jeffers for giving us so much of their valuable time.
Sarah O’Kelly is the creator and owner of Skippers Review, a superb review and recommendation website for the marine leisure industry. When not drinking beer, Sarah can be found, quite sober, at the helm of her Boston whaler or treading the boards as a stage actress. She is based in Boca Raton.
