My wife and I feel the need to share with the boating community the outstanding workmanship Olsen’s Marina performed on our Trawler. Every repair on our list, from Gel-coat touch up, to a faulty bow thruster to skeg overhaul was discussed with Dominick, the owner. His willingness to take the time with us was very impressive. His ability to explain the solution, the process and the timeline for each repair was in a clear manner. Throughout the repair process, Dominick kept us informed and he was available to us, via phone, text and email. He and his staff of highly experienced mechanics are very kind and hardworking. Olsen’s Marina is a family-owned boatyard that is committed to quality work with a focus on communication and integrity. The final bill for services was more than reasonable. Having had work done at other marinas in Fort Myers area for many years, was always stressful. We rarely knew how the work would turn out, and can say the results were always disappointing. Taking our boat to Olsen’s was the best maintenance decision we could have made. We highly recommend their services without hesitation. New to the area I had done a bit of review reading and research of local marinas 's. After reading... New to the area I had done a bit of review reading and research of local marinas 's. After reading a great deal of good reviews about Olsens on Yellow pages, and Active Captain, and some not so good on Yelp and Google I spoke with other boaters at my dockage and they all recommended Olsen Marine. Soon after I paid them a visit and met the owner Dom. After seeing the shop and yard and its organization, I brought my 41 Beneteau in for engine service, bottom painting, some gelcoat repair, minor electrical corrections and hull side painting. The staff was very experienced, polite and professional. The work was done very well, in a timely manner and the cost of the repairs were very reasonable. After experiencing the staff and the operation at Olsens, then again reading some bad intended reviews on Yelp and Google on this business I could not believe this was the same place or group of people being spoken about. By far the best yard I have worked with in 39 years of boating and every bit of the 51 years they have been in business shows in the work and customer service. 5 Star all the way, I highly recommend this Yard.
